Studio
3D models
Describe an object and Studio's 3D mode builds it from simple parts with your model. Turn it, refine it and save it as a GLB you can send to a project.
In Studio's composer, choose 3D, describe an object and choose Build. The Hub default model from Hub > Models describes the object as simple parts, and Studio builds it, checks it and saves it as a GLB file.
Build a model#
- 1
Describe it
Say what the object is, its style, materials and the parts it must have. The 3D screen, Simple 3D models., also has four ideas to start from.
- 2
Build it
The card shows Planning the model, Shaping the parts and Checking the model.
- 3
Look at it
The model turns in the card. Use Turn by itself and Wireframe, and drag to look around.
- 4
Refine
Choose More detail, Simpler, Other colors, or Change… to ask for a change in your own words. Each answer is a new version.
Checks and review#
- After each build, Studio checks the model for floating parts and odd sizes, and asks the model to fix them, up to 2 times.
- If your model can read images, Studio renders the object from four sides and asks the model to review it, up to 2 times (Looking at it from 4 sides, Taking another look). Text-only models skip this step.
- The card shows Ready, or Almost there when problems are left, and the number of parts.
Use it#
- Copy image copies a picture of the model.
- Show the GLB in folder opens the file. Models are saved in
.jennefer/studio/models. - Send to the IDE (the GLB goes into the open project) or Workshop.
- Arrows switch between versions. Hide from here removes the card from the feed; the model stays in 3D, under Your models.
What works well#
3D works best for hard-surface and stylized objects: furniture, products, vehicles, buildings and props. Name the main parts and their sizes, for example "a desk lamp with a round base 20 cm wide, a two-part arm and a cone shade". Organic shapes such as faces, animals and plants are hard to build from simple parts.
If it does not start#
| Message | What to do |
|---|---|
| Pick a model in Jennefer Hub > Models first. | Pick a Hub default in Hub > Models. |
| Install the local runtime first. | Choose Set up now in Hub > Models. |
| The AI model could not build a model | Try again, or pick a larger Hub default in Hub > Models. |
FAQ#
Can I edit the model in Blender?
Yes. Open the GLB from Show the GLB in folder.
Can I export STL?
Not yet. Studio saves 3D models as GLB.
Does 3D count toward the daily image limit?
No.
